Hello!  My name is Jahlea Douglas and I am one of two EIC's for GENESIS.  I am also the feature and design editor and have been a part of the staff for four years. Sadly, I am a senior and will be leaving my second family sooner than I want to :( Anyways, besides writing the editorial and feature, I am the captain of EMHS girls soccer team, and I am the secretary of our athletic council, Varsity Club. In addition to cooking, I also enjoy baking. These pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting are the perfect fall treat.

If you like a spicy, then this meal is perfect for you! Shrimp fettuccine with roasted pepper sauce topped with chopped parsley.

This sautéed shrimp is my favorite. Prepared with butter, minced garlic, a hint of lemon juice, and red pepper flakes, it is delicious poured over noodles and alfredo.

If you are looking for a healthier meal, this one is perfect. Garlic butter chicken bites with lemon asparagus. The base of the meal creates a sauce that goes well over mashed potatoes.
