Hello! My name is Dana Ibarra, I am a senior at Elkhart West, and this is my third year in student publications. I write mainly news and opinion stories! I’ve always loved reading and writing, so that’s all I ever do. Outside of school, I do color guard and winter guard, I spin both rifle and sabre on the weapon line!

“The biggest change was moving the music department into a new facility. Even when we were there and the space was too small, and the acoustics were terrible, it still felt like home to us. But I can’t wait to see the new things with our new facility," Kurt Weimer said on Friday, Dec. 13. Weimer has been at Elkhart Memorial since 2005.

"One of the biggest changes was technology and student motivational factors," said Amy Semancik on Friday, Dec. 13. Semancik has been at Elkhart Memorial since 2001.

"The biggest change was finding my beautiful wife [Susan Efsits] in the the math department," Todd Efsits said on Friday, Dec. 13. Efsits has been at Memorial since 2004.

"The biggest change that happened to me in this decade was that I had three wonderful kids," Rebecca Loar said on Friday, Dec. 13. Loar has been at Elkhart Memorial since 2005.

“The biggest change is seeing the school through the eyes of a teacher and father," Bruce Baer said on Friday, Dec. 13. Baer has been at Elkhart Memorial since 1998.

“It seems like getting access to things is faster and better, like life is getting 'better,' but the amount of people who are unhappy is getting higher. Life is supposedly getting better, but the attitude of the people is not reflecting that outlook," Miller said. Miller has been a teacher at Elkhart Memorial since 2005.
