Hey! My name is Kate Smith. I’m a junior at Elkhart High School, and this is my first semester with The PENNANT. I was honestly surprised to see this class on my schedule this year. I had wanted to be in it since freshman year, but I always had scheduling conflicts. I’m very excited to draw on my creativity in this class to write some articles, take some pictures, talk to new people, find new perspectives, and hopefully learn a thing or two about journalism along the way!
