Hear ye, hear ye–Elkhart families, students and staff! The Elkhart High School choir department hath bid thee welcome to attend the 48th annual Madrigal Dinner on December 6th, both noon and five, here in its palatial auditorium. All tickets hath been sold afore November 19th. All that remaineth is for the guests to arrive. Upon thou attendance, these noble guests will be delighted with a delicious multi-course feast, enchanting music, and merry entertainment. Observe with jubilation the hard work of Elkhart High School’s students!
The dinner is interactive, involving the audience in a multitude of ways. Each show will last approximately 90 minutes. See the main stage transformed into a grand dining hall of a royal castle. The orchestra will also assist in conveyance of beauteous music. Chortle at the comedy included with thine meal and music. High repute decor and extravagant costume overwhelms any modern feel remaining in the auditorium. Crowns, hats, and ball gowns flaunt the Renaissance period. Indulge in the foods, music, and comedy, while supporting hardworking students.
Preparation of prodigious size unfolds months prior to the shows didst relish by the audiences. So, what is expected to see? Renaissance-era showcases the different social classes no longer doth be; thou may see a jester, a paid entertainer, a king and queen, the highest royalty, knights, warriors and noblemen, ladies, a wife or daughter of a high rank man, showcased by way of the show. Bawdy humor from the cast is sure to make everyone in the audience chortle.
Eldest Degree Luna Londono gave efficacious discernment regarding this year’s Madrigal Dinner. The show is sure to be grand, exciting, and extravagant! Lady Luna is most anticipating everything the show captures: “I’m excited about everything! For me, this is a truly complete show and a unique experience for both the choir members and the audience.” Truly, this experience is unique and captures so much joy for everyone involved. Do not be caught unaware; the preparation can be exceedingly stressful. The 90 minutes of showtime means grand memorization. “I think the pressure of having everything memorized and making everything sound and look good can become a little stressful for everyone, but I know everyone will give their best once we’re on stage.” Lady Luna, the choir department, and all involved are confident in a beauteous execution.
For the past two score and eight years, the Elkhart community has had the honor of enjoying the Madrigal Dinner. Elkhart staff is very proud of the dedication, hard work, and tradition every young life puts into the creation of the show. Being transported into a different time period can be very enchanting, and these students are sure to showcase that. Laugh, learn, and indulge at the wonderful Elkhart High School Madrigal Dinner.
