Kung-Fu Panda 4: The Close To A Legendary Series

Kung-Fu Panda 4: The Close To A Legendary Series

March weather may come in like a lion. But, in terms of movies, it will come in like a panda–a Kung-Fu Panda, to be precise.

The trailer for Kung-Fu Panda 4 was released about a month ago, and it’s gotten a lot of hype for being the long-awaited and unexpected 4th movie of the Kung-Fu Panda franchise. Kung-Fu Panda 3 was released eight years ago, but now audiences are finally getting another movie to possibly provide more closure and cap off the legendary series.

The premise is that Po is now the new spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace and now has to search for a new dragon warrior while battling the new villain: The Chameleon. Devout Kung-Fu Panda fan and EHS sophomore, Collin Khomphengchan, has obviously not seen the movie yet; however, he finds the trailer to be promising. “I think it’s going to be a great movie. I think Po will still win, because he’s still got to finish his quest.” This long-awaited new movie offers some new faces to go with some familiar ones.

The Kung-Fu Panda franchise is known for having an all-star cast, including Jack Black, Bryan Cranston, and Jackie Chan–just to name a few. However, most notably, Ian McShane is reprising his role as the evil disciple of Master Shifu from the first movie, Tai Lung, and even gets his own fight scene shown off in the trailer for the movie, although it is unknown if his character will play a major role in the movie.

However, there are plenty of new faces coming to this movie, such as Viola Davis, an actor who has produced and acted in many movies–such as The Woman King and The Suicide Squad–and is perhaps most known for her role in the ABC show How to Get Away With Murder, who will be playing the antagonist of the film The Chameleon.

She isn’t the only new character joining the cast in this new movie, however. Awkwafina will be in the movie as a new character named Zhen, who will be accompanying Po on his journey to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace.

A new noticeable change to the franchise is that the animation is far crisper and cleaner compared to the older entries, as 3D animation and CGI have improved so much since the last entry, all the way back in 2016. The animation of this newest movie looks better than Kung-Fu Panda ever has, and it’s something the fans should get excited about, only leaving one to imagine how great the action sequences will be in the new animation.

All in all, this newest addition to the Kung-Fu Panda franchise is very promising and promises the fans waiting with baited breath for the film’s release on March 8 of this year.
