Having A Ball At The Snow Ball Dance

Having+A+Ball+At+The+Snow+Ball+Dance

Food, fun, friends….and dancing! All sounds like a ball, right?

Saturday, Dec. 9, is the EHS Snow Ball—with refreshments, Hacienda (chips, ranch, and salsa), popcorn, and a dessert bar. The dance is open to all high school students, grades 9-12, and guests are allowed. This is the first semi-formal dance that Elkhart is putting together this year, providing students with the opportunity to get dressed up for the first time this school year, as well. Several have expressed their excitement about this winter semi-formal.

Junior Taylor Kuehne says, “I am attending the Snow Ball as a representative for Student Government. I will be checking people in and what-not.” She continues, “I think it will be fun to help organize the dance, and I feel that others will have fun, as well.” Student Government representatives will be setting up an amazing night for students and have the grace of helping the school bring this event to life. Several students hope for good music to jam out to with their friends. Junior Janelle Abarca notes, “I hope that it will be a fun experience, especially because we haven’t had a dance like this in many years. I also hope everything goes according to plan, and students will have a great time.”

This dance will all take place in the 10-12 Main Campus Cafeteria. The dance begins at 8 p.m. and runs until 11p.m. Organizers hope that attendees will join their friends at the Snow Ball, and enjoy a fun night out together. They anticipate a large turnout for this event.

Tickets are $15 and will be on sale from Nov. 20-Dec. 8 during lunches at all four buildings. They are also sold before school at the 10-12 Activities Office those same days, as well as during IMPACT on Dec.7-8 at the 10-12 Activities Office and Higley’s room (K100) at the Freshman Division. If interested in bringing a guest (someone who is not an EHS student), students must have a form filled out and approved by Dec. 1. Those forms are available in each of the School of Study Hubs and the Freshman Division Main Office.

Hi, I’m Destinee Middleton, and I am a junior at Elkhart High School! I like photography--and any other forms of art. This is my second year being a part of The PENNANT. This class has been more than amazing. The publication staff is fun, and the writing helps to express many opinions with others (as many may share the same) and to also share other types of information. I’m hoping to further my photography skills and friendships through The PENNANT. This class is full of geniuses, and I cannot wait to grow with them!
