8. Stop drinking soda! Drinking soda and sugary beverages that have phosphoric acid in them makes a persons body adapt to calcium slower, which then leads to osteoporosis. Soda can also cause cavities, heartburn, acid reflux, and they make you dehydrated. Instead of grabbing a Monster energy drink, go for a green tea to wake you up. Drinking plenty of water will make you more focused and awake during the day. The recommended water intake is eight glasses, but as teens, we should be shooting for 10. Carry a reusable water bottle everywhere you go, whether it be the gym, work, or sports, having water near you will always remind you to keep drinking! Incorporating lemon and cucumber into your water routine will also relieve acne and keep your skin nice and fresh.
