Demons, swords, and breathtaking animation: What better way to kick off a spooky season than with the long awaited release of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle?
The movie that Demon Slayer fans have eagerly awaited for over a year does not disappoint. Watching the movie confirms that the movie is absolutely remarkable! The fight scenes even give goosebumps. One of the aspects that makes the movie stand out is how closely it follows the manga. For those who are unfamiliar, the manga is a Japanese comic or graphic novel that is created before the actual anime/movie. In other words, it’s a source/base.
Junior Hunter Bower confirms this point. “The manga is not much different from the movie.” In the movie, there were some scenes from the manga that the movie did not include. However, don’t expect any spoiler alert for viewers! Other than that, the movie offered the scenes in extra detail. The level of detail in the movie compared to the manga is incredible! An example would be during the fight scenes. Whenever the characters would use their fighting techniques called “breathing forms,” the movie often shows symbolic visuals that represent the attack_ sometimes animals, sometimes elements such as flowers or water, bringing each technique to life in a way the manga doesn’t.
Compared to the movie, the fight scenes often skip straight to the results of the battle. But, in the movie, each movement is portrayed in motion, making the fights even more emotional and absorbing to the viewers. Junior Kayle Hruby, who hasn’t seen the movie yet but will soon, shares her eagerness: “I’m excited to see the animations of the movie, along with my favorite characters!” Even though this is only Part 1 of the movie, the attention to detail and thrilling animation makes it an unforgettable experience for fans of the series.
Director Haruo Sotozaki hasn’t announced the official number of parts for the movie yet, but there are many rumors of the story continuing across in two more parts. “I feel the movie will be more outstanding than the previous Demon Slayer movies, because it’s one of the last three movies remaining until the show ends,” adds Hruby.
On that note, here’s a reminder that Halloween is right on the corner. Fans might even take their excitement even further by dressing up as their favorite Demon Slayer character. This movie is no trick, but 100% a treat!
