Pumpkin spice lattes, candles, candy, decor, leaves changing: Fall is in the air. Join the celebration at this weekend’s fall festival.

Elkhart Community Schools host multiple events throughout the year that help unite the community–allowing the children to interact with their peers outside of school and parents to get to know one another. This Friday, Oct. 7, Cleveland Elementary School’s PTO is hosting a Fall Festival from 5-7 p.m.

There will be bounce houses, games, pumpkin decorating, music, line dance, and more. This event is free to attend but will have an additional cost for food, bounce houses, and pumpkin decorating. Prices are listed down below:

  • Wristbands are $5.00; this allows for unlimited play time on games and bounce houses
  • Face Painting is $1.00 per child
  • Pumpkin craft is $3.00
  • Tailgate Dinner is $6.00; this includes hot dog, chips, Rice Krispie Treat, and bottled water

There are also volunteer opportunities available on their Facebook page. Students needing service hours may want to consider this.

The event ends at 7 p.m., giving students, teachers, and parents enough time to attend the Friday night football game at Rice Field, when the Lions come up against Mishawaka Marian Knights. The theme for this game is “Pink Out” in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
