Terve! Or, should I say, “Hello!” I am Bennett Mayfield, writer and wannabe historian. I ended up writing for The PENNANT my Senior year without really choosing to, but I’ll take it!–since writing has always been a passion of mine and one of the few things I’m actually talented in. Besides that, I also am really into history, esotericism/mysticism, and generally the more complex and mysterious aspects of our world. I’m also partially bilingual, knowing Russian and Suomi (Finnish) decently, along with some German. I personally prefer global and more intense or dramatic topics and issues, especially when given the opportunity to explore where said problems originate from. I hope to have the opportunity to share some of my thoughts on that this year.
