The city of Elkhart held an early Christmas celebration on Dec. 7. known as the Elkhart Winter Parade. Beginning close to nightfall, it  lasted until 7:30 p.m.

The main event, the parade, moved from street-to-street in downtown Elkhart throughout the evening.

There were many entertainment opportunities to see and lots of community members, young and old, who came together to celebrate the true love and nature of Elkhart, Indiana.

Performances included dance schools, floats, firetrucks and police escorts, and a marching band. There was music, motorcycles, and a number of companies that showed support by participating in the parade.

From viewing the parade while standing on the sidewalk and taking pictures, to capturing the wonderfully lit Christmas lights, the night had a beautiful outcome.

Filled with laughter and talk, the night gave the community the opportunity to watch entertainment and to enjoy the warm atmosphere created by the holiday lights that were hung all over buildings and vehicles.

The Elkhart Winter Parade was a successful kick-off for the Christmas spirit in Elkhart, Indiana.
