A yearbook holds reminiscence of the past school year, full of joyous activities and events accumulated over time. Great highlights of a school community’s year are displayed essentially in a “memory book” to look back on in the future. Although yearbooks are notably memorable, there are still lots of leftover yearbooks to sell.
There are rows and rows of yearbooks from years prior and the yearbook team is working to sell them. EHS Arts & Communication Lead Teacher Amy Stine says, “As far as old yearbooks go, we have books available back as far as a hundred years!” Stine adds that the original Elkhart, Central, and Memorial High School yearbooks are still available for purchase in her classroom. The yearbook team has received many calls from others who never purchased a yearbook when they were attending high school.
The yearbook team is working on allowing students and staff to purchase their yearbooks online. Yearbook Editor and senior Lenniya Howard states, “Allowing students and staff to purchase online brings about an efficient way to selling yearbooks to consumers. It’s organized and causes less stress on the team when it comes to placing orders and keeping track of them.” Howard positively notes that everyone is only in high school once in their lifetime and should invest in such memories because it is worth it.
Yearbooks are available for purchase in Stine’s classroom: C127. The yearbook team is working to obtain a GoFan account with Mr. Jeff Miller so that buyers can purchase their yearbooks online if they prefer that option. Online purchasers will show Stine the receipt and they can receive their yearbook. Recent yearbooks are being sold for $80. Elkhart High School welcomes any and everyone to purchase a yearbook. One can order a yearbook on http://www.Jostens.com. Yearbooks from years prior are being sold for $20. Regardless of the cost, it’s worth every penny for memories in life.
