Sophomores Rule In Guys’ Volleyball Tournament
March 27, 2020
Bump. Set. Spike! For at least the 12th year in a row, the “guys” at Central have gotten together for a volleyball challenge between grade levels—each hoping to walk off the court with the coveted winning title. This year, it was the Sophomores. On March 11, the Sophomores went against the Seniors. And, the Juniors successfully challenged the Freshmen. In a consolation game between the Freshmen and Seniors, the upperclassmen were outdone by the underclassmen. Game over. Now, it is a matter of bragging rights to see if this year’s Sophomores can reign as champions of the volleyball court when they are Juniors.

This tournament is a lot of fun to be at, and the boys get very competitive about it. Last year the class of ’22 came in second, and it was great to see them push through and win this year. I am personally very excited for the tournaments in the future, and will continue to cheer for my class. Hopefully this is a tradition we carry on when the schools merge!

I am a sophomore and I play volleyball and this was very exciting to hear! I remember last year when they were freshmen and they were upset that they lost and couldn’t stop talking about how they were going to make sure they win their sophomore year! I am so very proud of them and can’t wait to see if they can keep the winning title their junior year as well!

Very proud of the sophomore boys! I am a sophomore so it is even better! I am hoping we can bring it home again next year as Juniors! I think this is such a fun event for the school and I am glad we have set up such a competitive unique sport.
