Every Drop Of Blood Counts!

Friday, March 13, Central’s National Honor Society conducted a blood drive, teaming up with the South Bend Medical Foundation. Over 100 students 16 years of age or older, signed up to donate, as did many teachers and staff. “I was so nervous, even though this is my second time,” states Brooke Watson, 11. “However, I do it for a good cause.” As she knows, the blood goes directly to patients in need. Although held on a day marked by ominous events (Friday the 13th), the event ran smoothly overall. “At first it was very hectic, but it was a good turnout” asserts Nurse Tina Kedik.
