A first pet, birth of a sibling, first heart-break–all these things have one thing in common: They all lead to one after another moment in a person’s life. In fact, they are unforgettable.

Throughout someone’s lifetime, he will remember at least one memorable moment. Who hasn’t talked about “the good old days” at some point!  “I remember the gleam of my father’s eyes when he was listening to the minister go through his speech about cherishing and loving one another–seeing how much love my father held for my stepmother-to-be,” Isabella Brenneman recalls as the sophomore reminisces about that certain memory. “I remember crying tears of joy for my father; he was overwhelmingly happy.” When talking about memories or certain moments in life, they are often linked directly to emotions, even if it’s crying tears of sadness or pure joy. “ I love my father more than anything,” Brenneman explains, “and seeing him happy makes me happy.” Recalling emotions prove to be a great way to remember such an important moment.

Not all moments that are unforgettably sentimental; some can be the most agonizing moments in someone’s life. And, there is a wide array in between. The commonality that makes them all memorable is the amount of emotion connected to each. Good, bad, or ugly, these are the moments that make up the fabric of one’s life.
